Patty Niemann  was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Hall of Fame in 2010. She began her teaching career in the Lincoln Public Schools at Lincoln East Junior High as vocal music teacher in 1976.  Patty taught music at Brownell, Riley, Hawthorne, Beattie and Sheridan Elementary Schools until her retirement in 2010. Patty served as NMEA Elementary Music Affairs Chair from 1996-97.

.Dr. James Saker was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Hall of Fame in 2010. Jim taught the majority of his career at the University of Nebraska – Omaha.  He began serving as Professor of Music and Band Director since 1978. Dr. Saker has also served as Chair of the Department of Music from 1992-2006. Jim received the Donald A. Lenz Bandmaster Award. Dr. Saker served as President-Elect, President and Past-President of NMEA from 1986-1991.
