Bruce Bartels was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Hall of Fame in 2007. Bruce began his music-teaching career in Hamburg Iowa in 1967. He then moved to Logan View High School where he was the first band director in the consolidated school and held that position for thirty-three years. He also held positions at Fremont High, Doane College and Omaha Marian High School.
Cheri Helmer-Riensche was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Hall of Fame in 2007. Cheri began her teaching career in 1975 at Randolph Public Schools. She later taught vocal music at Seward, Omaha Benson and is currently teaching at Papillion-LaVista South. Cheri served as President of NCDA and was the Choral Affairs Chair for NMEA. Cheri was inducted as an Admiral in the Nebraska Navy and received the Spirit of the Prairie Award from the State of Nebraska in 1985.
Rita Stinner was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Hall of Fame in 2007. Rita began her teaching career in 1973 in the Lincoln Public Schools at Randolph Elementary as vocal music teacher. She later taught at Pound, Dawes, Lefler Junior Highs and Lincoln Southeast High School. Rita is presently teaching at Western Nebraska Community College. Rita served as NMEA Chair of College and University Affairs in 2000-2001.
