Joy Maag was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Association Hall of Fame in 1996. She was an Elementary Music Teacher in the Waverly Schools for 29 years. Joy served on the NMEA Board as Chair of Elementary Affairs.
Robert Olsen was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Association Hall of Fame in 1996. He began his teaching career with a one year appointment as Band Director for the Utica Public Schools. He then served as Band Director for the North Bend Schools for six years. From 1961 to 1990 he worked as Band Director for grade 5-9 in the Fremont Public Schools.
Jon I. Peterson was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Association Hall of Fame in 1996. Jon began his teaching career as Band and Choral Director at Kenesaw, High School. He moved to Kimball in 1963 as the Choral Director. In 1968 he moved to Lincoln and became Choral Director and Chair of the Music Department at the new Lincoln East High School. Jon served as President-Elect, President of NMEA (1994-1995), and Second Vice-President.
