Etudes and Scales
Use these etudes and scales to audition for the 2010 NMEA All-State instrumental ensembles. The correct etudes are labeled with the year (2010) and as "Set C". Please use only etudes that are labeled "Nebraska Music Educators Association - 2010 Etude" and have the NMEA logo with the designation "Set C".
The final requirement for auditions for the All-State Band and Orchestra - an excerpt from the repertoire to be performed - will not be posted on this website. Excerpts are only available as PDF files on the NMEA All-State Auditions CD which will be sent to your high school in early August. If you do not receive your CD by mid-August please contact NMEA Secretary/Treasurer, Bryan Johnson, at nmea@q.com.
Please note: Rehearsal CDs for the 2010 Etudes (Set C) are not available.

The 2010 All-State Band and Orchestra will each include a pianist. The piano audition consists of the required scales plus excerpts from the repertoire to be performed. Please check the 2010 All-State Auditions CD (available August 1) for a copy of the required excerpts.
